Lou if the income taxed is not for national defense or operation of the
government, but to provide cash for the less fortunate, it is redistribution
of income by definition.

Lou said, "Especially when a honest billionaire like Warren Buffet  admits
that he pays LESS taxes than his secretaries."  Yes and your honest
billionaire shelters a great dollar value of what to you would be income. 
He has well paid (that means he pays them big figures, probably seven
figures) to plan his taxes and use of shelters.

Lou said, "the trickle down economics of the Reagan era just didn't work and
Republicans cannot understand why workers are PISSED!"  Lou when Reagan took
office the inflation rate was double figures, the interest rate was double
figures and when he left both numbers were single figures.  Let me ask about
paying 18 interest on a car.  Did you buy a car the last year Jimmy Carter
was President?  In Reagan's last year in office the rate was what? 8 or 9 %
on a car.  Workers could afford the payments on a car when Reagan left
office, that is trickel down economics.

Go back and look at the numbers and tell us the truth.  Disregard Stan
superfluous social comments.  

Are you entitled to take courses at your employer?  Consider taking Econ 1
for starters then gradually you will come to understand the meaning of the
numbers tossed around.
