If you have the space, here is another option that has worked well for me
over the last 15 years - a picture is attached.
I erected a 24' x 12'  portable carport that stays in my yard year round.
Over the years I purchased a better cover and reinforced the structure
somewhat using galvanized conduit. Even so I do not let significant snow
loads accumulate. Obviously I remove the mast and then just back the boat
into the shelter and i'm done. When the boat is in the water I store the
trailer there and use it for odd jobs like painting.
