[Rhodes22-list] Mast step issues?

You all have been super helpful in processing this difficult discovery. If
it makes us all feel better I only paid $1,800 for this great boat needing
some work.  So, I'm looking forward to getting to the bottom of this issue
and am optimistic the boat is not dead yet.

For those of you who have had similar issues with sagging and post
additions, did any of you find that there wasn't much rot in the deck, but
that it was mostly over tensioning the shrouds?
